According to reports, Former chief minister and founder-president of Asom Gana Parishad (AGP) Prafulla Kumar Mahanta htas opposed the cabinet sub-committee’s decision to include the names of non-Muslim ‘D’ (doubtful) voters or ‘suspect citizens’ in the updated National Register of Citizens (NRC). “We are opposed to this.
