Assam government grants Rs 50 lakh to set up Naamghar in Bengaluru


Chief Minister Sarbananda Sonowal on Monday announced a sum of Rs 50 lakh to set up a Naamghar in Bengaluru. The fund was donated to the Srimanta Sankardev trust.

The state government is also planning to set up a ‘Naamghar’ in New Delhi. According to sources, Chief Minister Sonowal has directed the Resident Commissioner in the national capital to procure land for the purpose.
